Certification - confirmation of compliance of product quality standards with quality standards.
By certification is also meant the procedure for obtaining a certificate.

In technical regulation there are 2 main schemes:


- certification of mass produced goods
- batch certification
Certification is carried out:

- for the procedure of customs clearance (declaration) of goods for export and import
- when domestic goods are put into circulation in the territory of the Russian Federation and countries of the Eurasian Economic Union
- voluntary certification is carried out by manufacturers or importers to confirm the safety and quality of goods released into circulation
